Where?

The wedding will take place at The Steam Plant in Dayton, Ohio. The ceremony will be in the outside courtyard (weather permitting) with the cocktail hour taking place in the boiler room downstairs. The reception will be in the Grand Hall on the main floor. The Steam Plant offers plenty of on-site parking and is a short walk from our hotel block.

When?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 in the courtyard. Guests may arrive as early as 4:00pm and are asked to be seated by 4:20pm to allow a prompt start time. Cocktail hour will begin directly following the ceremony with a plated dinner being served at the beginning of the reception. Following dinner, there will be plenty of dancing with music from Legacy Events. In addition to dancing, board and card games will be provided in special lounge areas of the Grand Hall.

Where should I sit?

The first few rows will be reserved for immediate family, but the rest of the seats will be open seating. The photographer or wedding coordinator may ask you to move closer to the front for photography purposes. Everyone will have an assigned table for the dinner portion of the evening. There will be a seating chart available to help direct you to your seat.

Can we bring our children?

While we adore your children, we will only be accommodating children of the wedding party. We hope you can use this night as a date night for you and your significant other.

Can I bring a date?

We are only accommodating meals for those listed on the invitation. If your invitation lists "and guest" you are permitted to invite one guest of your choice to join you for the event. We ask that you provide the name of your guest to us for seating chart purposes.

What should I do with my car?

The Steam Plant has plenty of on-site parking. If you are going to drink at the event, please DO NOT DRIVE. Please call an uber or get a ride. Per The Steam plant: "Event attendees are permitted to leave cars in the Event Space parking lot overnight, if necessary, provided however, Owner is not responsible for the security of their cars and has no liability whatsoever for any damage, claim or other event associated with the parking of cars at the Event Space, before, during or after the Event."
